Jose and i came up with the idea of a trade day every week where people come on to talk trades and have people who arent usualyy on chatting trades as well. Thinking it could get the less chatty people on and get some more trades

The same day/time for everyone is not possible.
What i think it could be possible, is everyone post in a thread we create for that one/two day/time when they will be on chat, so everyone knows and could get online also if they want to chat to that GM .

On the reals, I would like to know who wrote the pistons response to the trade because that freaks me out.

I think the priority is to find the new owners for the ones that won't have one for next year, for example NO, 76ers, etc. I think we should have active owners for every team before anything should happen.

First of all, Congrats to Tiago and Jose for a great first year!!
One idea just to think about as a possibility would be to institute a minimum contract length for some of the top free agents. For example, if an unrestricted free agent finished in the top 5 of any of the counting categories, then he should receive a minimum 3 year offer. Or 2 years minimum for a top 10 finish. Exceptions would be made for players affected by the age chart that's currently in the rules. 34-36 years old - 2 years max 37-99 years old - 1 year max
The advantage to this mostly is to try and keep a dynasty feel to the league. In the real NBA, top free agents will always expect multi-year deals. It also would require more thought being put into some of the free agent signings.
If this is something worth considering, I would only vote for making this change effective in the 2014 offseason since teams may have already made plans to "go all out" on a one year contract for a top free agent this year.
Anyway, it's just an idea that might be worth considering. If not, I love the league the way it is as well.
Thanks, Adam

Adam, I think it's a good idea for min contracts for top free agents but I don't think it should be dictated by where they finish stay wise - but actually by their pay scale.
So a free agent receiving an offer of say 3M-5M could get 1 Yr, 5-8M is 2 yrs, 8-12M is 3 yrs and greater than 12M is 4 years and up.
But I disagree Adam. I think this is a very good idea and should be implemented immediately. I think it would be a bit ridiculous to let GM's bid say, 25M and 1 yr for a player like Dwight Howard or something.
Let me know what you think about basing the min years on their salary offered rather than stat finishes.

I agree with josh that it should be implemented immediately but I agree with Adam on the the way contract yr minimums are determined.

I agree with Jola on both issues

I like that idea but I can see some terrible 4 year contracts in the future that might mess up some teams.

Either way is fine with me Josh. The only thing I'd wonder about with a pay scale is how it would affect bidding. Most teams would probably push right to the bracket limit - requiring any future bids to go for multiple years.
I agree with Domingo as well, I think there's a lot of risk in almost any large 4 year contract. Maybe 3 should be the highest it goes?
As far as when new rules go into effect, I'm just always going to vote for giving everyone time to adapt. (Even if I'd personally prefer it sooner.)
