To me, it's simple: all players with QO's cannot be traded between the previous trade deadline and December 15th.
Roberto, in that situation I assume that the S&T could only be done between the highest bidder and the team that currently owns said player, because any other option simply wouldn't make sense. Also, in that situation "bluffing" comes into play but due to the fact that we have players in different time zones a deal may not be possible to achieve in 24 hours (people do sleep and have working hours). Either way, I don't think it will improve activity nor increase interest in RFA.
Anyway, I stand by Tiago on this one. No trading of said players allowed. This league has plenty of trades every week and plenty of good players hitting UFA every season, so there's no need to implement it, imho.

I can get on board with any decision about this, but kind of feel its unnecessary. Allowing one year bids probably does more to increase the trade value of RFAs than the sign-and-trade ideas.
I could picture high priced RFAs being traded for other high priced contracts. If a team has already extended themselves in the bidding process, there's not going to be a whole lot more to give in trade negotiations on top of that. (I can see it being more common in the real NBA because bringing in a star player also increases revenue.)
Some have considered RFA trades to be "below market value", but I'd venture to say that it is their market value the same way other large contracts reduce the trade value of the players they're attached to.
Anyway, whatever is decided (allowing negotiations with zero, one or three teams...) is fine with me. Fun discussion though.

Renato and Tiago were concerned about RFA losing interest, and my reply was in that regard. what i meant was
What if the S+T were only allowed during RFA and in the 24h that the owner has to match the winning bid?

I understand that. What I'm saying is that we all live in different time zones and an S&T may not be possible within 24 hours, therefore rendering that idea useless in some situations. Also, I assume that negotiation would be strictly between the current owner and the highest bidder, right?
