I understand Jay. This thread has less to do with the particular trades, and more to do with the philosophies used in voting.
I see the similarities, but in my mind it's just a slightly different degree of the same principle that allows James Harden to be traded for lesser players on better contracts.

Everyone keeps forgetting the other side of the trade. Someone receives A LOT for nothing. If that's not against the integrity of the league, I'm not sure what is. Yeah but nothing is just how YOU view it. Those picks may be worth something, but cap space also has to have its own worth as well. There are no tags in this league meaning every year there are good players, team changing players, that enter FA. Cap space is vital to adding the missing pieces to a team. You can do just as much improvement to a team through FA as you can in the draft. My team the 1st year in this league was heart breaking. I didn't really draft much the 2nd season but instead geared up for FA. Turned myself into a playoff team.
