Man RFA has been very interesting so far. Especially the Favors and Bledsoe situation because one could easily argue their potential production is what they're being paid for right now.

I must be the biggest fan and believer in Favors around but even I think this was a bit too high.
I love both his and Bledsoe's potential but there's still some doubts about them becoming a top 20 star every season...
Very interesting in deed. If this trend continues, in two years Harden won't be that expensive in comparison with some other RFA...

RFA

I was expecting RFA prices to drop a little this year, but there are several incentives to go a little higher. I'm kind of glad that some effort is being made to try and overcome the 20% discount involved. Its also kind of interesting that RFA owners have an extra incentive to match high bids which could play a role in price enforcement. If anything, I'm not going to be a fan of trading for an RFA player after looking at 2 years of data. Looking back, I remember the following quote when trading for D-Will last February: "I'll have $20 less to throw at Eric Bledsoe or John Wall next year if I can't trade Williams before the deadline." Giga is doing a fantastic job since taking over. Same with all of our other new owners.

Damn you Giga! Haha. I thought I made a perfect bid, then there's that crazy Sixers GM who made me pay 5M extre per year. That's some money. Well played.

granted the money being spent on RFA is crazy.... but the weird thing is this year may set the tone going forward. The amount of money being tossed around now, could likely be less next season considering that next years RFA class will be better than this season's group. Guyz will be more cautious spending cap next year compared to what's happening now.

Awwww...you guys are so nice... Rocky, you should have taken my outrageous offer... muaahahahahah! Seriously, I think RFA contracts are at the right price. It's the perfect example how search and demand works!

No way he was gonna go past 10M first year, I understand the logic of overpaying so you can get your guy but damn....

The whole point of RFA is to overpay. If you don't pay to much people match. Idk why everyone is freaking out about it. Real life NBA is exactly the same. RFA is when you over pay for players. Ex: Chandler Parsons, Jeremy Lin, Kris Humphries etc...
