Thanks for clearing that up Spurs that was exactly my point.
Agree that TOs should be the same time. If for no other reason it's a part of your financial strategy and that's hard to make early in the previous season.

I had no problem with the minimum contract for RFAs being 3 years which is in the rules. I'm not as big a fan of the 1 year but I understand the real life similarities. What I don't like at all is the new change to the rule half way through FA, especially conveniently for turner the next day

well, there's no rule about the minimum contract for RFAs being 3 years, at least not yet. So they didn't change the rule, it's a loophole they will have to fix and I'm sure it will change for next year's RFA.

TO and QO should be at the same time, and if we change it, they will both be at the start between draft and RFA period.
Yes, if the current team decided to pick up the QO, they won't be an UFA and if nobody else bids on them, there will be that minimum 3 years offer from current owner (as it was supposed to be in the rules but it wasn't).
Yes, we will change the rule to what we always intended it to be, a minimum 3 years.
What happened is that the minimum 3 years wasn't in the rules, and We decided to let you know in advance when we were informed that MIA found out about it and was going to bid 1 year only so that you could act accordingly (as some of you did).
