Timberwolves send Paul George 21.03 2017
for 2018 raptors 1 round pick 35 pick 2017 draft
I did this trade because it gives me a great player to go along with Demarcus cousins ,Nicholas batum and other players. This trade gives me a lot of cap flexibility next year with cousins also being a Fa , if things go wrong this year I can recoup some draft picks with a mid season trade

I also agree to this trade because I am getting 2 picks to help rebuild my team for the upcoming years. Since I am in rebuild mode, I am not in need of P. George.

I decided not to vote on this trade first, as I want a little more explanation from TOR. This trade will put TOR 7.1M over the cap, and still need to sign another 4 players to reach min number of players require by this league. So, I think some kind of explanation can help other TCs to determine if this trade should be allowed, because if I have to vote at this very moment, it will definitely be an easy veto, but I think you deserve a chance to explain.

I agree with Joe. Please explain your cap situation before we can vote. And, as he says, it looks like an easy veto.

The Raptors and Nuggtes trade saved me 1.7 million Traded dejuante Murray for Casspi and will Barton
The waiver claim of Pj Hairston 0.45 cap hit The waiver claim of chase buddenger 0.45 cap hit That gives me 3 players and I would use the mle for my 4 player These moves give me .90 more cap space so 6.2 million over now

Just to check your math, if the trade passes you'll be 6.62M over the cap.
Your claims aren't for the cap hit, but the value of the contract (0.61).
Also, the luxury tax will only be applied when the games start, so you'll have untill then to avoid it, if this trade passes.

So, Roberto, should we vote based on what we know now?

To me, even if there's a slight miscalculation on the cap, Ryan is aware of the implications. With that being said:
Veto (0-1)
Simply put, even if it's his last year, Paul George is worth more than a probably low first and a second. And that's going into cap ramifications...

No one is going to give a high first first round pick or mid first round pick for him he gets a good pick with the 35 pick

If this trade gets not approved then I would not of done the kyrie Irving trade , dejaunte Murray trade , The Ryan Anderson trade , all these movers where done thinking that I was getting Paul George when the Timberwolves and I agreed early in the draft about this deal

To me, it's a little different from what Renato's opinion. Other than getting enough players, you didn't really tell us how you are going to erase that 6.61 million deficit. A few times in this league before, owners leave because they slew up the cap problem and this one is by far the worst. If you keep 6.61M at the opening day, then you will have a penalty of 26.44M next year. I don't see that this is being done by a responsible owner. I would have no problem to approve it if it's only less than 2M over after the trade. But for me 6.61M is a bit too much. I suggest you work towards that goal and then submit another trade, I will gladly approve if it's less than 2m over the cap.
And I do agree with Renato a little bit, I think Paul George worth a little more, but I understand why Minny willing to do it and I respect that, especially when you cut a lot of cap and can basically offer that to another FA this summer. Like what I did with some of my trades.
But at this point, I have to veto this trade, and hope you can make some changes and ask me to vote again when the condition of your team is better.
Veto (0-2)

Ryan, once you do it, then submit this trade again, then I will gladly approve. But remember, that's just me, not sure about the other TCs.
