Just wondering if it would make sense to extend the period for picking up TOs, and offering QOs, to a week or so after our trade deadline.
It might give everyone a chance to see who they actually have on their team when all the dust settles from last minute deals. Even if the affected players aren't moved, changes in salary caps could influence these decisions also.
On the other hand, it could make for some interesting strategic decisions if we decide on the options while these players are still tradeable.
I'm ok if the rule is left unchanged. However, if so, should we go ahead and start declaring our intentions?
Thanks

I actually think this makes perfect sense, but a week seems too much.
I will talk with Jose about extending it about 48 hours past the trade deadline.

For some reason I cannot post at the "Team Option Picked" thread. Is it restricted? I would like to pick up the TO on Derrick Williams

The right place to post is on Contract Committee forum.
The "Team Option Picked" forum is where we will save the threads after they are processed.
I moved those 3 already there to the proper place.

If this expired 48 hrs after the trade deadline, there might be a few more interesting free agents next year: John Wall, Kyle Lowry...
