Kings accept. We lose risk players and gain a future to build on. pleasure dealing with all involved.
** there seems to be confusion about Bernard James. I could not do this deal cap wise if i was paying him 3M. So i recruited Ethan into this trade, gave him 2 players he wanted for bass, so long as he put in a claim for james thus clearing me the 3M. NO RULES WERE BROKEN by having someone agree to the terms of claiming a player as part of a trade. Thank you.

Hawks accept.
We didn't really try and get caught up in the exchange of the big names in the deal. Would we like to trade for a stud? Yes; but this deal was about grabbing a good player in Ross. He's buried behind several players but we like him as a hold. We are also willing to take on a few ugly (1 year) contracts. Good luck to all in the trade.

Houston accept, although the cap was slipped in there we get rid of fields contract and get Gasol and a 1st. Clear up some cap room and roster space for next years draft and FA

Mavericks Accept. I needed a change with Iguodala, as his game didn't fit right with my team. Now I get 2 solid big men, and added depth in this blockbuster trade.
***Johnson and Daniels are going to be dropped immedietly if this deal passes.

Impressive deal!
I'm going to need some help with a few things:
Just my opinion, the waiver claim shouldn't be factored as part of the trade. The explanation makes sense, and I don't have a problem with a pre-arranged pick up, but it should be viewed as a separate transaction since there's no guarantee that Hawks gets Bernard James.
Having said that, the Hawks appear to have only one open roster spot. I assume the trade takes precedence here making the waiver claim invalid. (Unless a player is dropped. Or maybe if Warrick soon qualifies for an IL spot.?)
Some have mentioned that we are allowed to trade "protected" draft picks. I find this to be a scary concept because of the amount of complications it introduces to a league like this. However, if the LMs say this is permissible, then great. We will need to keep good records of this. Especially if protected picks are later retraded.
The protected pick in this case is potentially being compensated with a 2015 pick. This would be the first time a 2015 pick us involved in a trade. This also opens a new can if worms because other contenders could follow suit and easily manipulate protected picks to essentially trade their 2015 first rounder.
On a side note, trading for a protected pick in this league is a very different thing than in the real NBA. What's to stop a team from completely rebuilding, virtually assuring him of a top draft pick... the following year fielding a competitive team, and thus only surrendering a low draft pick? That team would have complete control over the process.
In this particular case, I hope Houston factored in that Indy already has salary cap penalties next year and the 2014 pick could be affected by that as well.
I guess the most pressing questions are: Are we allowed to trade protected picks? Are we allowed to involve 2015 picks as compensation at this point in time? Ethan - What action are you taking to clear a roster spot?
There may be more that I'm missing also. This could take some time to analyze. Thanks for any answers, and thanks for your patience.

Woah... Just saw this deal (that I won't have time to properly analyze until tomorrow) and Adam's questions. I am, per se, against the waiver claim being part of a deal. However, if the LM allows it, then I'll proceed accordingly.
Regarding the "protected" picks, as long as we keep a record I'm all for it. I am against turning that 2014 1st into 2 2015 picks since that would be against the rules.
I'll just wait for the LM to comment on this one before voting on it.

Just so everyone knows, I was very much against the protected pick for the same reasons stated by SAS. I think trade the pick or not. But Pacers weren't budging.

Warrick is eligible for the IL as he is a FA now. His move to the Inactive List would be effective immediately.

Sorry about the delay. I have been without internet at weekends. About Adam questions: Are we allowed to trade protected picks? YES I agree and understand the worries. We will keep record of everything, like always. About the risk of a team controlling their own destiny and therefore being able to give the pick they want, yes, there's that risk but the team receiving that conditional pick is aware of that and they should act accordingly (and i doubt someone will tank an entire season just to manage a pick deal). Are we allowed to involve 2015 picks as compensation at this point in time? NO And the reason is exactly and 100% the one you mentioned. Any team could easily begin trading 2015 picks masked as 2014 conditionals. League Rules: Draft Picks (Up to 2 years away, i.e., this season (2012-13) a team can trade picks up to the 2014 Draft) Read more: dynastyleaguebball.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=1585#ixzz2LrLfGciN Ethan - What action are you taking to clear a roster spot? It's already solved. So, for this great trade to take place, only that 2015 pick have to be removed.
