Denver Trade:
Brandon Knight: 13/14 2.79M, 14/15 3.55M TO, 15/16 4.79M QO
Meyers Leonard: 13/14 1.65M, 14/15 1.90M TO, 15/16 2.18M TO, 16/17 2.73M QO
2014 CHA 2nd
for
Utah trade: 2013 #1 overall pick
Glen Davis: 13/14 6.4M, 14/15 6.6M
I accept. Even though this is a weak draft, but there's a couple players I really like, so even though it means I have to give up Knight and Leoanrd, I still think it's worth it. Good dealing Phil.

I accept I get my PG and some more depth at Center and Leoanrd could have a solid year at center with the old guys gone.

This may be a bad draft class, but I don't see this trade as being good at all. Not only does Utah trade a better player, he trades a pick that has potential (good potential at that) to land someone better than knight and leonard combined. Knight has only shown that he can't handle the point guard position that well, and Leonard has shown..well nothing so far.

I would like to give a little more explaination on this trade before other TC member cast their vote.
For Davis, I think he's more of a liability than assets. He's the one that Utah wanna get rid of, because his salary for next year. Also, with the fact that Harris is in the mix in Orlando, he won't get many minutes.
And for Knight, I think that Detroit didn't draft another pg in the draft tells you that they may want to give him another shot. Which in many times that people keep saying that Knight, Monroe and Drummond at the moment are the future of the Pistons.
And for Leonard, yes, he hasn't done anything yet. But so does anyone in the draft. He will indeed get his fair share of minute in the new season. It takes time for bigs to develop, and so I wouldn't say a bad first year would just classify him as bad piece in this deal.
Well, here's my explaination. I think this is fair for both team. I get 1 potential good player and Utah get rid of Davis' contract (which he really wants to), along the way, he also get Knight and Leanard, 2 young players with potential and Knight showed he can be a star (which he shows from time to time). Hopefully this explanation is good enough.

Davis is 27 and has survived the draft without being traded. Tobias Harris plays both SF and PF, so he may not start and may just be a sixth man. Either way, both will get plenty of minutes.
As for Brandon Knight, the fact that they are considering resigning Calderon to what should be an expensive contract just shows you how much faith they have in Knight. Knight has never shown to be a good passer, and with Caldwell-Pope now there he probably won't be SG either. I don't see him as being a future starter.
You can't compare Leonard to THIS year's draft class as not doing anything yet. Leonard went through a full year and still hasn't done much, that comparison makes no sense. No one said he was a bad piece, but Glen Davis is better than him without a doubt, but let's say Glen Davis is = to Meyers Leonard by some odd miracle. Now I'm looking at Knight and a 2014 2nd for the #1 overall pick. That still doesn't fly with me.
Knight can be a star? Russell Westbrook is a star. Knight is light years away from that.
I'm still a veto. VETO (0-1)

Joe, c'mon man...
There's no way you can make us think that this trade is fair... If someone wants to get rid of a bad contract, there are plenty of ways to do it (since the contract is that bad) and none of them involves the #1 pick. It doesn't matter if this draft is shallow and next year will be deep: a #1 is still a #1 pick.
There's no way that Brandon Knight and a 2nd or Leonard and a 2nd are worth the #1 pick. There's no way that a "bad contract" like Glen Davis is put into this deal at all.
If you want to trade Glen Davis for those other players, then it's something to be discussed and can be approved.
I will not approve a trade of the #1 pick for Knight, Leonard and that 2nd round combined, nevertheless with an aditional player who happens to be a starter in the NBA.

PS: Utah, it's not that I want to micromanage your team, but when checking your previous trades I got the feeling that you either were going to keep the #1 pick or trade it for a consolidated player and/or borderline all-star. This makes no sense at all and I'll be reviewing your future trades a little bit more carefully...

Sorry, I veto. But its not so far apart for me. Just a bit of tweak will make it passable for me
