Toronto Raptors Trade:[/u]
2013 1st Round Pick (DEN) (1.13) (#13 OVR) SG/PG Austin Rivers (NOH) (13/14:$2.0M,14/15:$2.30M-TO,15/16:$2.65M-TO,16/17:$3.31M-QO)
For
Los Angeles Clippers Trade:[/u]
2013 1st Round Pick (MIL) (1.5) (#5 OVR)
*The Toronto Raptors accept and confirm this deal. We are again feeling like we're overpaying in a deal but we've got a goal this year and we will do what we have to in order to get what we "hope" is a contender together. Hopefully we get who we want at 5.
*The Los Angeles Clippers to follow and confirm. I shot Pope what I thought was a solid offer that he would accept and he countered with this. Not ideally what was in my plans, but you have to give to get. Good luck to all involved.

stop!!!
hold this trade. there was a mis-communication here. to clarify, Jola sent me an offer, i countered with this trade. He then re-countered with another offer, which I then told him that i was holding firm with this offer and if he re-considered, he needed to contact me. at that point i assumed this trade was dead, and worked out a deal with the mavericks. Please allow me some time to contact the mavericks and raptors to straighten this out, since they are both under the assumption that they are getting the 5th pick.
thank you

Pope,
Nowhere in our trade talks did this deal become dead. In your last pm to me you said you were standing pat at this offer and if I changed my mind let you know. I indeed let you know accepting and posting your offer... And continued to make another deal contingent on this deal. You effectively left the offer on the table, and I accepted and posted.
Transcript via PM titled "Re:offer --> ACCEPTED AND POSTED"
Hopefully we get this squared away ASAP. As obviously the offer was left OTB and not dead.

look man, i'm not trying to get in a pissing match here. that is my exact quote. I never gave you the go ahead to post anything in any of my responses. i merely said to " let me know" if you changed your mind. at which point i assumed we would revisit the trade talks. there was no talk of accepting or posting anything. it was just casual trade talk. it was no secret to anyone that i was shopping the 5th pick, in fact i've discussed that pick with 4 or 5 other teams, and had offers on the table with just about all of them. is that not the point of fielding offers?

Yes. And if you extend an offer and leave it on the table with hopes that a GM changes their mind and accepts it, you can't back out once they do accept it. If the pm said let me know if you change your mind and we will revisit that's a different story. But you explained you were standing pat at that OFFER... Effectively leaving the offer extended. Which was then accepted and posted.
You can't just go around extending 4-5 offers and when one gets accepted decide you no longer want to do it... YOU extended the offer... And I accepted.
There is no pissing match, it's pretty simple. You made an offer, stood pat leaving it on the table, and it was accepted.
Plenty of GM's here will tell you I effectively communicate that I hardly ever leave offers on the table and explicitly state that - your pm explicitly stated the offer was standing... And I accepted it.

Exactly, you had 4-5 offers in the table. Open for acceptance. Nobody told you to leave 5 offers on the table and if someone accepts you can't just back out. There was no need for a pm saying to post because you made the offer, I accepted and posted and confirmations come in the trade post.
You've said time and again, it was ON THE TABLE - waiting for acceptance, which it received. Pretty simple.

This is bs in any other league if a player offers a deal its an offer. They can't back out. This is bush league stuff and loses my interest greatly in this league. So dumb. If someone offers me something and I accept then they can back out? Wack.

who backed out? I never backed out. those are YOUR WORDS. You and I have been in two leagues together, don't put words in my mouth. at no point did i say that i'm backing out of this trade. also at no point did i say that this wasn't standing offer. If i have to post our exact converstations i will, but i think we can all be adults about this and quit trying to spin it to make me look like a jerk. If you want the facts I will post every message in order by time in which I contacted each GM showing what was discussed and in what time frame.

Yes, the plan the entire time was to trade that pick to the raptors, but now that hes on a crusade to slander me with things that i did not say i feel like i need to stick up for myself. the whole reason i told him to hold on with the trade was because i wanted to straighten things out with the mavericks, whom i had worked out a trade after the raptors had declined my initial offer. yes i left it on the table BUT in all of his rants he neglected to show the message in which he declined my offer, in which i then decided to look elsewhere for different trade. I told him to contact me if he changed his mind. Instead of contacting me and verifying it. he went ahead and posted it without even double checking with me first.

Post em you god damn idiot. Exactly right there you just again stated it was a STANDING OFFER readily acceptable, which it was. There was no need for verification AS YOU OFFERED IT. Nobody is trying to make you look like a jerk. Just bringing to light the bush league shit you're trying to pull (and this isn't the first time you've done this) if then intention the WHOLE TIME was to trade pick to Raptors when he accepts your deal why wouldn't you confirm - ending any other offers/talks you had.
You're just saying shit and dicking around. You're a joke bro, the end, period.

This is the full time line of events between, myself, the raptors, and the Mavericks. It starts with a PM from the mavs, then a Offer from the Raptors. At that point I sent an inquiry to the Mavs with an offer attached. Then sent a reply to the Raptors with an offer as well. At which point Raptors declined and countered. I then told him I would not Budge from my offer, and told him to let me know if he changed his mind. I then logged off, and when I came back at 4pm I had a PM from the raptors saying he posted the trade, as well as a reply from the Mavs stating that he would accept the trade I offered him. At this point I contacted both Gms as well as posted on the trade thread that there was a misunderstanding, and that I needed to clear it up with both parties. I don't appreciate the direction in which Jola has decided to take this. There is no need for slander and angry words. It was a misunderstanding in which I tried to clear up from the moment it happened. Posted below is the full line of events, which should explain everything. I feel like it is up to the trade committee to decide whether or not this trade should be completed. I will support which ever decision is made.
(No Subject) « Message sent on Jun 27, 2013, 8:40pm » from mavericks to clippers
Offer « Message sent Yesterday at 12:46pm » from raptors to clippers

btw, at no point did i mention any intention of backing out of the trade. I only said I needed to put this trade on hold to straighten things out between the raptors and mavericks because they were both under the assumption that they had made a trade for the 5th pick. i felt it was important to explain what happened to both parties

Literally 28 other owners don't care about this. Jose even said that its not even a deal until both parties accept. Sort your shit out guys you are holding up the draft

Whatever man. The order of events still clearly shows my acceptance came far before the Mavs counter offer, and then acceptance. Just figure out what you want to do so we can proceed with draft... The TP doesn't need to decide anything as they've already said you didn't confirm the raptors/clippers trade so it didnt matter. Pick what you wanna do and lets move on. You're holding things up.
