I guess the rules don't day anything about a minimum value for cash considerations. In my opinion, it should be 0.5, since that's the minimum salary. I'll wait for a LM before voting on this one...

True that it's not in the rules but that's only because we didn't antecipate this...
I agree that this doesn't make sense "trading" a Player for nothing (other than the cap release) and its a trick for avoiding the drop with possible cap hit.
I will talk with Jose about it and we'll post our decision soon.

If it makes it more easy I could just drop him if joe puts in a claim. That works right?

Not sure how he feels, but it might not work from Joe's perspective since he may not win the claim.
It's good to get a ruling on this though. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Sorry about the delay but Jose was supposed to post our decision here.
The minimum value to be traded in a single playerXcash trade is 0.50M as it's the minimum value to sign a free agent.
In the future, allowing these trades where an owner "gives" a player to another team, could lead to some problems and "suspicious".
Sorry about that not beeing in the rules prior to this situation.
Obviously you can drop that player, but if no owner picks him up, there's the waive penalty.
