Denver Trade:
2016 DEN 1st Joakim Noah 12.20M 14/15, 13.40M 15/16
Portland Trade: 2014 Portland 1st (#7 overall)
I clearly heading to the rebuilding process and I look at this draft as one of the cannot miss. Similiar to the draft 2 years ago. Getting a #7 pick is hugh, as I have my eyes on a couple players I think will turn out a star just like I got Beal and Drummond a couple years ago. Also, I try to clear as much cap space as possible for next year's big FA market. We are talking about Bosh, LBJ, Melo, etc. So this draft definitely help me build the team with small contracts and then be able to go after the big guys next year.

I accept this trade. I see this as drafting Noah with the 7th pick. While I would hardly get a better player at this spot, I'm also giving up the potential future cornerstone I could get in this loaded draft for a 2-year contract - hence the 2016 pick (which will probably be in the late 20's anyway, if Joe's plans for next year work out).
I think this move fits both denver's rebuilding strategy and my desire to quickly build a playoff team. Thanks Joe

I hate to do this, but this one is a clear veto for me.
Noah numbers last year:
80 games | 12.6 PTS | 11.3 REB | 5.4 AST(!) | 1.5 BLK | 1.2 STL | 48% FG | 74% FT | 2.4 TO
Using basketball monster with our league configuration and stats value, he was #9 last year (#15 per game). I personally don't like him (maybe it's his hair), but he's a beast in fantasy.
The 7th pick for Noah is not enough imo and I would need to think a lot before voting and maybe would end up vetoing anyway, but adding the 2016 1st puts this in the easy veto category for me.
Veto (0-1)
PS: I looked in the past for some similar trades and found a funny one. When the league started there was a trade of the 7th pick for Amare who was a top 40 player at the time. And I vetoed because I thought 7th was too little for him.
So, even if you don't agree with me, at least it seems I'm being coherent...

If Joe was a new owner, I would veto. But he's the reigning western conference champion, so I trust him to do what he feels is his best move. Noah for the #7 pick isn't great, but Joe clears a lot of future cap. The 2016 1st is too hard to project right now, so I see it as a fee for the future money in noahs contract. I don't think #7 gets a player better than Noah in fantasy, but I will let Joe run his team on this one.
APPROVE (1-1)

I actually like this for Joe. I might had done something similar too if I rebuild. Noah was a beast last year but his production should drop this year and his contract is not so favourable. I'll pass (2-1)

This one seems pretty easy for me and my gut feeling when i read it was confirmed when i checked the stats.
On one side a Fantasy stud, with a really decent 2 year deal and a future 1st from an apparently rebuilding team. On the other side, a #7 pick in what's supposed to be a loaded draft (past #7's in our league: Dion Waiters and Anthony Bennett).
For me, it's a gross overpay for a pick. Even if the #7 was enough for Noah, and in my opinion it isn't, the fact that this trade involves one of the "older" owners in this league and a member of the TC shouldn't be taken into consideration, and we should look at the cold hard facts that Noah's production for itself would alone warrant a bigger prize than a #7.
Also, when "rebuilding" it's customary to protect your own picks, since you know you're making yourself worse over each trade.
Veto (2-2)

Before the 5th TC vote, let me give a little more explaination on this trade. Last year, Noah was basically their focal point both offense and defense. But with Rose back, and new players coming. His role will be diminished, and for sure not worth the money he has on his contract imo.
For adding the 2016 pick. The way my roster set up, 2015/16 is the year I will go after the title, which I am confident I will be one of the top team. So that pick I add will be late 1st, and I'm not too concern about that.
My plan again for this year is grab as many small contract and clear as much cap space as possible for next year. And I also view that #7 pick will be very special (for whoever I will pick). This is definitely a important trade for my rebuilding process. More or less like the trade SAS traded Gasol last year. (Potential and money vs stat). So hopefully whoever from TC cast 5th vote can put my plan for my team as part of the consideration too. Thank you.

I was trying to avoid voting, but it seems that i have to. I understand Joe's plan even if i don't agree with it, and i'm also high on this draft, just not as much. In the 2012 draft MKG was 2nd (look how far his stock has dropped), Thomas Robinson 5th, barnes 7th, ross 8th, rivers 10th and meyers leonard 11th. Sure thing? I'm sure that there will be busts in the top 10, at least comparing to expectations. And we'll see players reaching their potencial, but only after 3, 4 5 years in the league, and this is important imo, because i'm comparing Noah with the player that will be picked now, not when/if he reaches his potencial. About Noah, in an early espn fantasy ranking he's 17. 17!! And that doesn't factor in his contract, wich is very good, imo. espn.go.com/fantasy/basketball/story/_/id/10783153/eric-bledsoe-kobe-bryant-could-bounce-back-injuries-next-season-fantasy-basketballAs far as the "Rose effect", i compared the stats of last season with 2010/11, when Rose was healthy. The stats are almost the same except FG%, assists and TO wich reflect the role he had to assume when rose went down. Because he had to be the focal point in the offense and a playmaker, his FG% decreased (.525%-.475%) and assists and TO went up (2.2-5.4 ass, 1.9-2.5 TO). So, he might be better overall with Rose. I will ignore the 2016 1st, because it's valued at 1M!!! Sorry for the long explanation, but because i said in the previous trade that i'm a Noah fan, i felt that i had to be objective and thorough justifying my Veto 2-3
