according to the league rules, only players with the following condition can be moved to IL:
d league retired oversea
so, i don't think Giga can move Nick to IL because he got suspended by the league for 13 games. LMs, pls clarify on this.

NDL League Rules>Roster
" - The IR positions are for players that are injured and IR eligible in the ESPN league - Once a player is no longer IR eligible a team has one week to reactivate him and make proper roster adjustments."
Nick Calathes is IR elegible (according to ESPN), so he should be on IR and not IL.

In real NBA suspended players do no count towards the 13 maximum roster size.
That's because the maximum roster size is set for active players and suspended are not active.
I will discuss it with Jose but I think they should be on IL because nothing else makes any sense to me.

He's for sure eligible for IR.
I believe the question is if he should also be eligible for IL.
I believe so, because that's what happen in real NBA but I'll check it out with Jose.

Yes, He is.
Just go to ESPN and see.
Also:
"The IR positions are for players that are injured and IR eligible in the ESPN league" - in NDL Rules
I don't see the big problem here. It's pretty clear to me how this issue should be handled.
But I will wait for the LM's decision.

The issue here is not Calathes, as both him and his suspension are totally unimportant, but defining things for future (and maybe more important) situations.
Well, after reading carefully the rules, and talking with Jose about this, here is our conclusions.
Looking just to the rules as they are at this moment, Nick Calathes CANNOT be moved to IR or IL because of the underlined parts bellow.
IL says:
- The IL positions are for players on a team’s roster that doesn’t play in the NBA at that moment (D-League, Overseas or Free Agents in real life)
IR says:
- The IR positions are for players that are injured AND IR eligible in the ESPN league
However, it should be pretty clear that we always tried to emulate real NBA when possible, and we will do just that here.
A suspended player in the NBA still maintains contract with a team but he's inactive for the duration of the suspension and his not on the active roster. That is what IL stands for, Inactive List.
So, even if the "(D-League, Overseas or Free Agents in real life)" seems to overlook suspended players, I hope that the first part of the text is enough for everyone to understand that suspended players should be on IL too "The IL positions are for players on a team’s roster that doesn’t play in the NBA at that moment".
That defines a suspended player. He's on one's roster but doesn't play at that moment.
So, like in real NBA we are going with suspended players belonging to the Inactive List.
Please beware that this means that when a suspended player returns to the active roster on real NBA, he must also in here, and that can make a team drop an active player to make room for him.
We will add "suspended" to that parenthesis:
- The IL positions are for players on a team’s roster that doesn’t play in the NBA at that moment (Suspended, D-League, Overseas or Free Agents in real life)

Of course Calathes is the "issue"! We should call this amendment Calathes Rule. As the 14-day contract should be renamed to Giga's Rule.
