Best I can tell, the Rules Committee still requires the LMs' decisions. Therefore, the following assumptions should not be taken as fact, just hoping to start a conversation. The calendar states that the trade deadline is: " - League’s Trade Deadline – One week after the NBA Trade Deadline. It’s also the deadline to make the decisions on every Option for next season." Read more: dynastyleaguebball.proboards.com/thread/3498/calendar#ixzz3QbcLdaGXBased on this, I'm assuming the trade deadline is Thursday, Feb. 26th, 3pm eastern. It also serves as the closing of UFA. The questions for conversation or for the LMs to decide are: 1. Is Thursday, Feb. 26th, 3pm eastern the official trade deadline? 2. Do we want to postpone the deadline for deciding on contract options? (There's really no need to make these decisions now. It could easily wait until one week before RFA.) If anyone sees any advantage to deciding next year's options at this point in the season, please state it here. The only thing I could think of is that activity levels might be higher right now rather than late July. But after all, this is a 30 team league. It's in every team's self interest to follow league events during the draft and RFA. 3. Since the UFA deadline falls within 1.5 weeks of the playoffs, do we want to pass a rule prohibiting the use of players on 14D contracts during the playoffs? It was discussed last year, but I couldn't find anything written in the rules about this.

Hi Adam,
1. That is correct.
2. Yes, there's no need to make those decisions now. Moving it to a point further ahead could be another point of mandatory activity.
3. There's another thing we were thinking of pushing foward. Our idea is to make the UFA deadline before the start of the playoffs. Regarding 14D's i think we need some ruling on how they can used (maximum per year, max simultaneous, max in a week, etc) just to eliminate some loose ends on that part.

1. Thank you for confirming.
2. That was so much simpler when handled by the LM rather than a committee.
3. I agree with the long term goal of cleaning up loose ends. I guess the more pressing question is: Are 14D contracts allowed this year in the playoffs?
Thanks again for the answers.
