Leonard previous team was also the team that sent the highest overall bid for him, assuring that the star forward stays with the Mavs. However, looking at these bids, we see that this time, bidding on their own player trying to take advantage of the 20% home discount, proved costly for GM Rocky as Dallas re-sign Kawhi Leonard to a lot bigger contract that matching the next highest bid would need. The contract details are as follows: 2015/16 - 18.10 $ 2016/17 - 19.91 $ 2017/18 - 21.90 $ 2018/19 - 24.09 $ Total Salary 84.00 $ Average Salary 21.00 $ OCV 37.80 Jimmy Butler is next, send us your offers.

Wow, had no clue Kawhi is rated so low in here. I'm still glad with the price, was afraid he'd get over 20M+ in year 1, by looking at some past biddings for players rated in the same range. Strange thing is, I had an AAS of 19m typed in and then bumped it up by another 2M. So all in all an extra 2M per year won't hurt that much, better be safe than sorry. Good day in the Mavs front office.
