Grizzlies TRADE: -- LaMarcus Aldridge SAS PF (2016: $16.5M; 2017: $18.15M) -- Kristaps Porzingis NYK PF (2016: $2.20M; 2017: $2.53M; 2018: $2.91M; 2019: QO) -- Zach LaVine MIN PG (2016: $1.9M; 2017: $2.18M; 2018: QO)
Rockets TRADE: -- Andrew Wiggins MIN SF (2016: $5.06M; 2017: $5.82M; 2018: QO) -- Robin Lopez CHI C (2016: $6.06M; 2017: $6.66M; 2018: $7.33M) -- Dewayne Dedmon SAS C (2016: $0.79M) -- 2018 1st (HOU)
Regretfully, I accept. I need to do this to make my cap work so I can sign Buddy Hield and Ben Simmons. Long term I like both better than Porzingis and LaVine so it wasn't worth it to give those guys up in other deals. Offloading LMA hurts but I need to for the cap purposes. Wiggins is a total stud and I'm convinced this is the year he takes a real step forward and becomes a multi category monster. Overall I still think I'm in a great spot to win this season. Good luck Teo and you're welcome for helping to make you great haha

Accept.
This kind of puts me out of the UFA game, but i guess im fine with that.
Wiggins is a future superstar, and that future looks to be this year. Lopez is the definition of a solid center who wont damage you anywhere and Dedmon is poised for a good role in SAS at a minimun contract. But i really like Kristaps and Lavine so is worth all of that.
Thanks for the easy talks and have fun with all that money Max!

Even though i understand the urgency by MEM's GM in getting some cap space to sign their rookies, this trade is too unbalanced for me not to veto.
According to last year's ranks and last 2 months of 2016 (all by Basketball Monsters and adjusted to this league size)
LaMarcus #26 / #15 Porzingis #44 / #74 Lavine #123 / #63
Wiggins #107 / #69 Lopez #81 / #57 Dedmon #238 / #175
Considering also 2017 projections (for standard leagues) by FantasyPros (over 20+ "experts"):
LaMarcus #26 Porzingis #31 Lavine #69
Wiggins #49 Lopez #99 Dedmon #216
If you put into consideration that this trade only adds 8.71M to MEM's cap and that HOU's 1st will be on the mid to high 20's, for me it's impossible to let this trade go through.
Considering MEM's current need, a deal like this but without the addition of Lavine and Dedmon, would be more compreensible on MEM's side. That trade would also allow for the signings of Simmons and Hield, with the ensuing options GM's have at their hands to fill their rosters.

It seems no one wants to start this one, so I'll do it.
I think we all agree that this is a lopsided deal, that favors heavily the HOU organization. Even Max agrees with it, per his post.
The question here is if it's too much, and a veto is in order.
Let's start to recognize that 3 of the 4 best players in this deal are going in the same direction and that's usually a bad sign.
For this deal to work, Wiggins would have to be a really superstar and close to LMA in fantasy value, and I don't believe he is. In fact, I don't think he's the second best fantasy player in this deal.
I tried to break the deal in pieces to make it work, but I couldn't, mainly because for me Porzingis > Wiggins and with one more guaranteed year in his contract.
Then, there's the money differential. It's around 8M. Is that enough to make up for the difference in fantasy value?
Even with the rookie situation, I don't believe it comes close to make it fair.

I understand that Max is in a tough position, but i would rather not sign Simmons and Hield than do this deal. I think José gave a good suggestion, or in alternative i would suggest replacing Porzingod with McBuckets.

Unfortunately the bad news don't end with the veto. Tonight ORL GM Josh noticed that Kyle Lowry's salary wasn't added in the total salary. When i noticed it i checked every roster and found the same error in HOU's page.
Sorry Teo, but your cap is actually -$3,26, because Bledsoe's salary wasn't added to salary used.
ORL and HOU were the only teams with that error.
