Trade Committee
The Trade Committee (TC) is a 6 person group of owners who vote on trades. Once a trade gets 3 approves or 3 vetoes it gets moved to the appropriate forum. If they are vetoing, a committee member should explain why so you know what is wrong with the trade and hopefully it can be rectified.
Trade Regulations
For a trade to be voted on by the TC it has to be set up in the right way.
Things that can be traded:
- Players
- Draft Picks (Up to 2 years away, i.e., this season (2012-13) a team can trade picks up to the 2014 Draft)
- Cap (A team can’t receive or trade away more than 10.00M total for a season, nor can it send or acquire more than 5.00M in a single trade)
Post the contract info for every player involved, so that a submitted trade with everything would look like this:
Team A sends
Player A – 10.00M (2014)
2012 Team A 1st
2013 Team A 2nd
2014 Team D 2nd
Team B sends
Player B – 8.30M (2015)
2010 Team B 1st
5.00M in Cap
Every time a pick is involved that didn’t belong to any of the teams in the trade, please specify it like above (Year Team Round - 2014 Team D 2nd)
The SC resets every season, so it is not possible to trade Cap for future seasons. Whenever Cap is involved in a trade, that amount is reflected in the current season’s Cap only.
Backing out of a Trade
Not allowed.
For a trade to be submitted you must create a thread with the appropriate information, and the other team should confirm it accepts the trade in the same thread. From the moment both teams post their acceptance of the trade and, if it is approved by the TC, the trade will be confirmed and it won’t be possible to back out, so review your trades carefully.
