Washington Trade: David Lee $15.49 CJ McCollum $2.53 $2.91 $3.64 Jared Sullinger $2.18 $2.73
Denver Trade: Blake Griffin $15.72 $16.74 Gerald Wallace $1.87 $2.06 2016 PHI 1st 2017 DEN 2nd 2017 GSW 2nd
I accept. It hurts to give up CJ as I think he is in for a breakout year in Portland on a great contract however the opportunity to get a stud in Griffith is too good to pass up.

I accept. I really like CJ's chance this year. Also, I end up getting rid of Wallace also. And David Lee will have a big role this year, as I look at him as a double double machine this coming year, and I will now have 40M cap space for next year, which fit my plan perfectly. Good dealing Tim.

I like CJ but Lee and Sullinger are on the same crowded frontcourt. I don't think that Joe get's enough for Blake, but enough to pass.

Every year, we see this kind of trades from Joe.
And every year, I fail to understand them.
I like CJ a lot, and Sullinger has good potencial, but this seems to me like a short package for Griffin. IF you add the fact that DEN actually adds a first round, it becomes even more strange to me.
But not enough to veto, as PHI should be a PO team, and this is essencially a 3X1 trade (not buying the Lee hype, but stil...)

Joe continues to zig-zag his way through the trade market. I lack the information to fully understand Joe's plan but i'm starting to feel that he also doesn't have it. Yet...
Tim picks up the best player in the deal and a few minor assets, capitalizing very well on the CJ hype and one season of Sullinger+Lee for 17M.
For me, it's a well rounded deal.
