Mavericks Deal:
DJ Augustin: $3.96M, $4.36M, $4.79M, UFA Ray McCallum: $0.61M, $0.67M, UFA Rights to rookie Rashad Vaughn
Jazz Deal:
CJ Miles: $3.96M, $4.35M, $4.79M, UFA Gerald Green: $1.41M, UFA IND 2016 2nd UTA 2017 2nd
Utah accepts. This was an easy deal for me. Its probably the best I could land for my guys Green and Miles, who are solid guards to own for points, 3's, FTs. Vaughn is a prospect that can really help my rebuild process. He's young, got some great tools to work with to become a good NBA player a few years down the road. I think he was really underrated coming out of the draft. McCallum is another guy who I think can have a solid season in San Antonio. I think getting him out of Sacramento will do wonders for his career (as well as being coached by Pop). and I'm ok with having Augustin at that price. He's a bit overpayed, but I know if Westbrook goes down at all, he is fully capable of filling big name PG shoes like hes done in the pas.t. Good dealing Rocky.

Mavs accept. I was searching for some SG depth and finally found it. I also wanted to get Augustin shipped off since I have some FA targets and had to make room for another PG, so thats another plus for my roster. And I also have too many unsigned rookies, so that's one name off the list as well. I hate losing Vaughn, BUT he will not contribute in his first year and I want a full 13 team roster all producing numbers and have no room for Vaughn unfortunately. I like Miles, he brings some stats I needed, 3pt, a steal, good FT, low TO, similar with Green who will be my tier 3 SG/SF and a nice bench piece, he gets to play with Dragic again that's why I was interested, his best basketball came next to Dragic in Phoenix, plus Wade will have plenty of off days so he'll get minutes. The two 2nds are a good throw in for future deals. Easy dealing Evan and best of luck!

Even though i like UTAH's side a little bit more, it's a good deal for both. Miles and Green are similar players, volume shooters, that will be backup SGs in Miami and Indiana. DJ will be westbrook's backup, but Cameron Payne can take some of his PT. McCallum has some upside, especially when Tony Parker sits. Vaughn is a nice gamble by Utah, a team without young players with potencial, because even if he doesn't play much this year, Mayo and Bayless can be gone next year and he will have PT available.
