Kaine must know that salaries always grow from year to year. Next year's column is going to be tough to look after free agency.

I'm not sure what to do here. GSW has two players (if they keep Giannis, as they should) and two flyers. That's it.
I'm not sure what Kaine is thinking. His acceptance in this trade makes me believe he thinks it's possible to make a contender via free agency if they have lots of cap.
Sadly that's not true and I've a feeling he's gonna realize that too late. Giannis will cost A LOT to keep and every star in UFA are going for big bucks as lots of teams have big pockets this summer.
In fact I'd say GSW has all the signs of a rebuilding team that if they make the correct decisions should be competitive in 2 years. Almost every move Kaine did so far stripped his team of assets, and it all made sense if the plan was going to rebuild. Now I wonder what's going on.
So, this trade is just a terrible idea for GSW and worries me about the future of the franchise if for some reason Kaine leaves.
But is it a unfair or unbalanced trade?
I think the price for a 2018 1st should be around 5M so a 2019 at 3.5M seems fair enough. Not sure why the 2nd needed to be involved, but that's not making the trade a veto.
So I will approve this trade because the price it's perfectly fair, but I would like to hear another kind of acceptance/explanation about what's GSW idwa/plan was/is.
Kinda like the TOR cap situation where we needed to better understand it, I think this one fits the same criteria (for different reasons).

The fact that GSW didn't even send an offer for Giannis is even more worrisome.

When i got this team they had no picks and no good players exccept for giannis and hood so i de ided to strip the entire team down and build them up again in free agency. I probably didnt need to do this trade but joes been heaps nice to me since i starrted so i thought id help him out a bit

Roberto said i didnt need to send in an offer and i can just match everything It's true you didn't need to, but: - If there is no offer 20% higher than the original owner’s offer, the player is signed. - If there are still standing offers, then the owner has 24 hours to match the best offer submitted by other teams and keep the player. Read more: dynastyleaguebball.proboards.com/thread/3496/free-agency#ixzz4rELLwTdWSo, sending an offer gives the owner a chance to get his player with a up to 20% discount.

Personally, doesn't make much sense to me in the condition GSW is right now. Nonetheless, if he can put a decent squad around Giannis, that pick will never be good.
Decent value for the picks.
